It all started with a doodle on a scrap of paper covered in adorable dog sketches. Odessa had just mastered cartoon-style dogs after binge-watching a YouTube tutorial, and she couldn’t resist drawing them whenever she got the chance. After what felt like the 200th pup, she looked down and—surprisingly—saw a very funky monkey instead. Turns out, her latest masterpiece had a mischievous, monkey-like vibe.

Fast forward to school that week when her Spanish teacher told the class that “monkey” in Spanish is “mono.” And just like that, her quirky character got a new name: Mono. Inspiration struck again—this time, on a hoodie. With her dad by her side, they crafted a must-have sweatshirt design, and voilà—the Mono de Mono brand was born.
